i love clarks have worn them for 50yrs or more. i trust their sizing. i used to be a 13M but after i passed 60yrs old my size bumped up. actually it had been 13.5M for years but that size is nearly impossible to find . anyway. i bought this Northam Step Loafer size 140M for under $20-36hr later it was at my door in a brand new box with tissue paper over untouched pristine loafers. i put them on and they fit just as the full priced styles i have worn for all these years. desert boots, wallabees . i never bought this type or model before and am pleased beyond expectation. fit perfectly , very light weight yet i feel secure in them not stiff but not sneaker like either. since shoe fits are highly subjective for so many people getting a proper review to suit all is nearly impossible. i can say that these shoes are just the way one would want to receive a new pair of shoes at a local store.nothing out of order but the discount is highly unusual. i have already put 2miles on them day one in city to suburb walking on and off the bus, sidewalks after light rain for a few hours. leaf season here so when i cut across the front lawn from the sidewalk to front door i had to traverse 80yards or so of short wet grass with residue of wet leaves that fell in the day and a half since last yard vacuum job. i am dry inside the loafers, nothing stuck to them and the oiled black leather looks just fine. hope this helps someone on the fence over the different sizing numbers as i was.
